WholeBody Focusing: including Seminars by Zoom Teleconference

1. Follow-up WBF training groups (#1) – Th/Fr (Fr/Sa in Australia)

Nov. 17-18; (skip Nov 25-26); Dec. 1-2; Dec. 8-9; Dec. 15-16, 2016.

Group days/times will be same as now – Thursday, 11 a.m. & Friday, 5:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. These groups will each be 1 1/2 hours – and will be devoted to experiential practice of WBF.  This practice can take the form of break-out groups, one-to-one demonstrations, and/or specific focus on one or more area of skill-building. There will not be formal teaching – but upon prior request, we can re-explore any aspects [or elements] from the four Modules. It can also be a tutorial in that we can get direct feedback and support in returning to the ‘basic foundations’ of WBF (Modules 1 &2).  The emphasis will be on developing as WB Focusers and applying to our life situations/patterns. There will be longer times for practice and break-outs, and well as demonstrations and sharing.

* You can sign up for any number of meetings – cost is $40/each meeting or $150/ for all four meetings of one group. Register for these and other WBF classes on our registration page.

More about Glenn Fleisch

Glenn Fleisch, PhD, MFT, has been practicing psychotherapy for more than 25 years. In addition to private practice, Glenn is a certified Focusing trainer who has been researching and writing about experiential change and relational interaction in FOT. He has been reading and studying Gendlin’s philosophy and theory for many years, and has written extensively about the experiential method and interactive responsiveness in therapy, as well as gestural leads and WholeBody Focusing.

Glenn Fleisch writes: I am a licensed psychotherapist, in private practice for 28 years, and a Focusing trainer. I have been trained by Ann Weiser Cornell and incorporate the Inner Relationship model into my work. In addition, I have had training with Janet Klein and Mary McGuire in Interactive Focusing, and most recently, have been working directly with Kevin McEvenue in experiencing and learning Wholebody Focusing. Over many years, I have worked with a variety of issues and problem areas, specializing in anxiety, stress, addictions, depression and relational issues. I am very interested and excited by whole body processing in Focusing as the whole person includes both inward felt sensing as well as outward expressiveness that activate energy and generate spontaneous, inner-directed movement. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from Temple University (Philadelphia) and my PhD in Clinical Psychology from The Center for Psychological Studies (Albany, CA). I offer individual sessions and workshops on Wholebody Focusing to therapists and Focusing trainers. I also have done extensive writing on Focusing and change-steps in therapy, recently written an article for publication on gestures in focusing and therapy.

Testimonials for Glenn

Glenn Fleisch is profoundly insightful and innovative in how he sees, approaches, and articulates subtle psychological issues. In addition to his knowledge base, I find him to be a very warm, non-defensive and caring human being. He is always open to feedback and dialogue, and welcomes exchanges that might further his understanding.

Glenn Fleisch is one of our finest interpreters of Gendlin’s writings. Glenn makes Gendlin accessible yet profound. Glenn’s own theoretical work on Relating At The Edge in Focusing-Oriented Therapy is cutting edge and deeply compassionate.
